Alexandra “Zandra” Martellaro joined the athletic training staff at Frederick Community College for the spring of 2019 and is currently on the athletic training staff at Hood College. Her current responsibilities at Hood are: field hockey, volleyball, swimming, softball, and women’s lacrosse.
Zandra attained a degree in pre-rehabilitation services from East Stroudsburg University and a master’s degree in athletic training at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina. Her 2 years at Lenoir-Rhyne comprised of clinical internships with the football, track and field, men's lacrosse, swimming and men's basketball programs. Martellaro served on the athletic training staff at the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships and the conference's track and field championships in both 2017 and 2018.
She is board certified, state licensed by New York and Maryland Board of Physicians, American Red Cross for FA/CPR/AED instructor, and CPR/AED professional rescuer instructor. She is an active member in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
