Cougars Fall To Raiders In Afternoon Baseball

Sanford, Fl. – The Frederick Community College baseball team took on Seminole State College of Florida on Monday afternoon.  The Raiders topped the Cougars 13-6 and FCC now sits at 6-3 overall on the year.

The Cougars tallied 12 hits on the afternoon led by 1st baseman Seth Holler who went 3-for-5 including a double.  Centerfielder Logan Appel continues to swing a hot stick for FCC going 2-for-4 on the day while scoring two runs.  Zackary Costello earned the start at DH for the Cougars and went 1-for-3 while knocking in three runs.

Southpaw Andrew Scarpelli started on the mound for FCC and pitch three inning and gave up seven earned runs.  Scarpelli was tagged with the loss and falls to 0-1 on the season. 

Up Next: The Cougars will return to the diamond on Tuesday afternoon when they play the rubber game against ASA College.  First pitch is set for 1:15 PM.
