Walks Haunt Cougars in 10-9 Loss

Hagerstown, Md. –  The Cougars of FCC hit the road for an afternoon match-up in MD JUCO action against the Hawks of Hagerstown Community College.  FCC would jump out to a 4-0 lead, but eventually would fall to HCC 10-9 in nine innings.  FCC is 21-9 on the year including 5-3 in conference play.

The FCC offense pounded out thirteen hits on the afternoon. Sophomore shortstop Billy Lennox continues to tear it up as he went 3-for-4 on the day.  Teammate Seth Holler had three singles in four trips to the dish.  Zackary Costello (3B, 2 RBI) and Dalton Haymaker chipped in with two hits each. 

Brian Rourke was hit with the loss and falls to 2-2 on the season.

Up Next:  The Cougars return to the diamond for a doubleheader on Saturday (3/26) afternoon when they travel to CCBC Catonsville.  First pitch is set for noon.
