Catonsville, Md. – FCC starting pitcher Carson Bach took the hill for the Cougars in game one and dominated from the start. The right-handed hurler picked up his third win in a row as the Cougars defeated CCBC Catonsville 3-2 in eight innings. Bach (3-1) went the distance striking out twelve and gave up just two hits while walking just one in the victory. He now has 59 punchouts in 37 innings on the season. Billy Lennox went 2-for-4 raising his batting average to .370.
Game two was another pitching duel as FCC starter Colby Rudis toed the rubber posting a perfect 4-0 record on the season. Rudis would pitch extremely well giving up just one earned run while striking out nine. However, the Cougars would drop the contest 3-0 as Rudis suffers his first loss of the season and is 4-1.
FCC will be back in action on Thursday (3/31) when the travel to Allegany College of Maryland in MD JUCO play in a single 9 inning contest. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
The Cougars are now 22-10 overall and 6-4 in conference play.
