Baseball Offense Erupts In Win Over Allegany, 20-4

Cumberland, Md. – The FCC baseball team hit the road for an afternoon contest against Allegany College of Maryland.  The Cougars exploded for a season-high 22 hits and defeated the Trojans 20-4 in MD JUCO action.  With the victory FCC sits at 23-10 overall including 7-4 in the conference.

FCC second baseman Billy Lennox continues to rip the cover off the baseball.  "Mr. Hustle" Lennox smacked four hits on the day and bumped up his batting average to .386.  He would also cross the plate four times in the victory.  Lennox got plenty of help from his teammates as Seth Holler and Jett Manning (HR, 3B, 2B) each went 3-for-5 at the dish.  Manning would take a lap around the bases as he connected on his first round-tripper of the year while knocking in four runs.  Blake Lazur had himself a day as well going 3-for-4 and knocked in three runs.  Teammates Dalton Haymaker and Brandon Beck would register two hits apiece.

FCC starting pitcher Carson Bach won his fourth game in a row and improves to 4-1 on the year.  Bach tossed five innings and struck out eight batters.

The Cougars will return to the diamond on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Harford Community College for a doubleheader.  First pitch is set for noon.
