AUBURNDALE, Florida – The No. 13 Frederick Community College baseball team returned to the diamond on Thursday afternoon for a single game vs. Lake Michigan College. The Red Hawks grabbed the early lead and would hold on for the 5-4 victory over the Cougars. FCC falls to 10-3 on the season while LMC improves to 4-3.

The Red Hawks wasted little time getting on the scoreboard in the first frame, putting up two runs on three hits. They would add two more runs in the bottom of the third inning off FCC starting pitcher Jacob Wetzel (3 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 4 Ks, HR). He would exit after three innings, handing the ball over to John Cummings. Wetzel would suffer the loss and falls to 2-1 on the year.

The Cougars had just six hits on the day. Brett Stallings (2 R), Jacob Berry, and Jacob Wetzel each had a double in the loss.
