South Prince George, VA - The Frederick Community College men's basketball team fell 85-82 to Richard Bland College on Friday evening. The loss drops the Cougars to 7-3 while the Statesmen improve to 6-7 on the year. The Statemen led by one point late in the game and then sank two free throws for the three point lead. The Cougars would have a chance to tie the contest at the buzzer, but the shot fell short, giving the Statesmen the victory.
Five players scored in double figures for the Cougars in the loss. Juwan Burnett continues to have a stellar year as he led FCC with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field. He also registered four steals. CJ Williams chipped in with 13 points and grabbed six rebounds while Devon Knaub recorded 12 points. Domantas Sakickas and Christian Knox rounded out the scoring with 10 points each.
The Cougar scorched the nets on Friday night connecting on 32-of-62 (51.6%) from the field and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.

FCC will return to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon when they visit Thomas Nelson Community College. Tipoff is set for 2:30 PM and the game will be played at Bethel High School Allen Iverson Gymnasium.
