Baltimore, Md. - In just his first season at the helm for the Frederick Community College men's soccer program, Head Coach John LaRocca's outstanding work and dedication has not gone unnoticed as he was named the MD JUCO Co-Coach of the Year, sharing the honor with Joe Fiedler (CCBC Essex). 

LaRocca led FCC to their best season ever in school history. The Cougars ended their record-setting season at 14-4-1 overall including 11-1 in conference play. FCC was clicking on all cylinders throughout the season as they rattled off 11 wins in a row. The Cougars shared a piece of the conference crown with CCBC Essex.  

Firsts for Men's Soccer Program in 2016

  • MD JUCO Co-Conference Champions
  • Defeated Montgomery College
  • Held opponents to average of just 1.09 goals- Ranked #1 in MD JUCO
  • Earned 14 wins on the season  
  • Registered 11 victories in a row
  • Recorded undefeated home record at 8-0-1
