FREDERICK, Md. - It was a battle of undefeated MD JUCO teams on Thursday afternoon as the (RV) FCC men's soccer team took on #8 nationally-ranked NJCAA DIII Prince George's CC. Heading into the contest, the Cougars were sporting a record of 6-0, while the Owls were at 5-0-1. Something had to give as the two leaders of the MD JUCO took to the pitch. In the end, the Cougars would edge PGCC by the score of 2-1 to earn the hard fought victory.
Just before the half, it would be Vagner Marques-Rodriguez finding the back of the net off the feed from Chris Manful for the 1-0 lead. It was his sixth goal of the season. In the 84th minute of the contest, Chris Manful would come up huge for FCC as he scored a header goal off of a Tommy Nguyen free kick. Manful has been on fire as of late for FCC.
