MEN'S SOCCER SCORES SEVEN GOALS FOR SHUTOUT OF CSM

LaPlata, Maryland – The FCC men's soccer team hit the road on Tuesday afternoon to battle the Hawks from the College of Southern Maryland. The Cougars took control of the match in the first minute of play and never looked back as they earned a 7-0 victory over CSM. Alex Kryazhev scored 45 seconds into the match and Daniel Cabrera would find the back of the net in the third minute to put FCC up 2-0 early in the contest. The Cougars led 4-0 after 45 minutes of play and tacked on three more goals in the second half. FCC improves to 7-3 on the season as the Hawks drop to 3-6.

Daniel Cabrera is having quite a year for FCC and continues to shine on the pitch. Cabrera led FCC with two goals in the win over the Hawks and now has 11 on the season. Diego Camarena, Chris Manful, Robert Watson, and Paul Stavrou chipped in with a goal for FCC.

The Cougars led 4-0 after 45 minutes of play and tacked on three more goals in the second half.

FCC will enjoy some much-needed rest as they return to the pitch on October 12 vs. CCBC Catonsville. The start time is slated for 4:00 PM at CCBC Catonsville.
