John LaRocca was named head coach for the men's soccer team on February 23, 2016. 

"Coach LaRocca is a winner with solid experience and his enthusiasm, discipline, and commitment to Frederick Community College has been clearly evident," Athletic Director Rodney Bennett said.  "His passion is evident when you hear him speak about the game of soccer and we are extremely excited to have him on our staff."

In just his first season as head coach of the men's soccer program in 2016, Coach LaRocca led the Cougars to the best season in school history. The Cougars registered 14 wins and captured a piece of the MD JUCO conference championship. Additionally, LaRocca was named MD JUCO Co-Coach of the Year for the stellar season in 2016. Coach LaRocca led the Cougars to the NJCAA D1 Region XX championship game where they lost a heartbreaking 1-0 loss.

He is the owner of Beltway Trainer, a sports training company. He presently trains numerous local athletes and groups around the DMV.   Before joining the FCC coaching staff, LaRocca coached at Northwood High School.

Coach LaRocca had a successful playing career at McDaniel College, a NCAA DIII school. While at McDaniel, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.  He holds USSF D-license and is pursuing his C-license.  He resides in Germantown, Maryland.
