FREDERICK, Md.- FCC's Amiah Banks tied a season-high 28 points to lead the Cougars over Montgomery College by the score of 87-83 in a nail biter in the Athletics Center on the campus of Frederick Community College. FCC wraps up conference play with a record of 9-3 and sits with an overall record of 11-8.

FCC jumped out to the early 15-4 lead in the first quarter and the tide would turn in the third quarter as the Cougars trailed by as many as seven points. FCC would jump out to a 77-70 lead with four minutes left in the contest, however, the Raptors would knock down back-to-back three-pointers to cut the lead to just a single point. FCC lead 85-83 with just 10 seconds remaining, however they would miss two free throws, but would get the huge offensive rebound and the Raptors were forced to foul. Banks would step to the free throw line and knock down two shots to secure the 87-83 victory.

Banks has put together quite a freshman season for the Cougars. She has scored 20 or more points in eight contests this season. She had major contributions from teammates Jone Ayers and Agusta Kamara. Ayers poured in 19 points and Kamara chipped in with 14.

FCC will return to the court on Monday when they host Potomac State College of WVU. Tip is set for 5:00 P.M. at the Athletics Center on the campus of Frederick Community College.
