FCC Volleyball extends win streak to three

Wye Mills, Maryland – The FCC women's volleyball team traveled to Chesapeake College on Monday night to battle the Skipjacks. FCC took care of business and earned the sweep, 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-21). With the win, FCC sits at 5-2 (4-2 MD JUCO) on the season and Chesapeake falls to 1-8. FCC Head Coach Patti Westenberg was very pleased with the win tonight and the total team effort.

FCC's middle hitter Rylind Abshire has really been heating up as of late. She led FCC tonight with 11 kills on 17 swings, committing just one error. She also recorded three blocks and three aces. That is getting it done at the net! Teammate Jacqueline Ryan added five kills and seven digs in the victory. Madison France continues to set up the hitters as she handed out a game-high 28 assists in the win.

FCC will return to the court on Thursday at home against College of Southern Maryland. First serve is set for 7:00 P.M. Come on out and cheer on the Cougars!
