Rudis tosses gem; Cougars take two from Avengers

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – FCC starting pitcher Colby Rudis set the tone early in game one for the Cougars. Rudis dominated on the hill pitching a complete game shutout. The Cougars would explode in the nightcap putting up 14 runs to take two from a very talented ASA College squad.

  • The storyline of game one was the strong outing by FCC RHP starting pitcher Colby Rudis. He pitched a complete game and gave up just six hits over seven innings while striking out 11 batters. Rudis improves to 2-1 on the season.
  • FCC scored a run in the 3rd inning and tacked on an insurance run in the top of the 7th to secure the victory.
