Men’s Soccer concludes season with 1-0 loss to Montgomery College

Bel Air, Maryland – The Frederick Community College men's soccer team entered Thursday night's contest with their confidence high and eager for a postseason victory. However, a late goal in the second half was the difference in the match as they fell to the Raptors from Montgomery College (11-4) by the count of 1-0 in the semifinals of the Region 20 D1 postseason tourney. The Cougars finish the 2021 season with an overall record of 8-5 under the guidance of first-year head coach Joe Pratt.

Despite giving up a goal in the 69th minute, the FCC defense played a stellar game. Major credit goes to FCC goalie Gavin Pennell. The Raptors were firing some rockets at Pennell and he answered the call all night long recording save after save. He ended the night with nine saves.

Congratulations to the FCC men's soccer team and coaching staff on a memorable season. Counting down the days to return to the pitch in 2022! GO COUGARS!
