Tip your cap to starting pitchers Carson Pinkney (CCBC Catonsville) and Colby Rudis (FCC RHP) as the two were locked in a good ol' pitcher's duel. Throw out the records and throw out seeding when it comes to postseason baseball. The Knights from CCBC Essex jumped out to an early 4-1 lead and really took control of the contest midway through the game thanks to a grand slam by leftfielder JD Bruck lifting the Knights to an 8-4 lead. The Cougars would not go away quietly and went to work in the sixth and seventh innings. Brady Harju hit an absolute missile to straight away center with the bases loaded knocking in three runs while teammate Jett Manning hit a moonshot double putting the Cougars up 12-8 after seven innings.

FCC swung the lumber aginst the Knights smacking 16 hits in the victory. Teammates Tyler Robinson, Maciah Thomas, and Deandre Johnson each recorded two hits to round out the hit parade.

What a performance by FCC relief pitcher Teagan Staver (2-2) as he came in to pitch the final four innings for FCC.
