Cougars Dropped Two at Home to Harford in Saturday Matchup

The Frederick Community College Cougars continued a challenging stretch on Saturday afternoon as they dropped both games of a home doubleheader to Harford Community College. Playing in Frederick, the Cougars were unable to slow a productive Harford offense and fell 12–4 in the opener before a 14–0 setback in Game 2.

In the opening game, Harford built an early cushion, scoring eight runs across the first three innings. FCC was kept off the scoreboard through four frames, limited to a single hit during that stretch. Cole Swinimer and Jack Clarke helped spark the rally, while Riley Anderson delivered a two-run double and Luis Perez Alfaro followed with an RBI double to bring Frederick within 9–4. Harford quickly answered in the top of the sixth with three more runs, and the Cougars were unable to generate another scoring opportunity as the game closed at 12–4.

The nightcap proved even tougher for Frederick. Harford scored in each of the first four innings, capitalizing on extra-base hits and defensive miscues. FCC managed just two hits in the contest, with Andrew Varga and Jack Clarke accounting for the Cougars' offense. The game concluded after six innings with Harford securing the 14–0 win.

The Cougars will host CCBC Dundalk for a doubleheader on Sunday, March 22, with first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM at The Rick.
