Frederick Community College Cougars open their 11th World Series appearance against Jones College in a first-ever meeting between the programs. The Cougars (36–13) enter with momentum after a 9–3 win over Garrett College to claim the Region 20 title, powered by 12 hits, disciplined at-bats, and a four-RBI game from Luis Perez Alfaro. Colin Milligan led the way on the mound, with Ethan Duff closing it out.

Frederick brings one of the nation's hardest-hitting offenses, hitting .338 as a team with the fifth-best on-base percentage in the nation (.481), powered by plate discipline (303 walks, 75 hit-by-pitches). The Cougars' lineup features four players hitting above .400, led by Vincenzo Cusat (.430, 9 HR, 45 RBIs), and thrives on getting on base and creating constant pressure.

Jones (40–16) counters with a balanced attack, hitting .326, its best mark under head coach Wes Thigpen. With seven starters above .300, their ability to string together hits makes them one of the most dangerous lineups in the bracket.
