Frederick Cougars Dominate WVU Potomac State 79–59
Frederick Community College men's basketball dominated their home court with a commanding victory, beating WVU Potomac State College 79–59. From the opening tip, the Cougars took control, jumping to a 35–24 halftime lead through relentless ball movement and efficient shooting.
The second half was all Frederick, as they scored 44 points and never let the Catamounts catch up. Gabriel Jones dropped 20 points on 9-for-15 shooting, while Ryan Tientcheu came off the bench with energy, adding 16 points and nine rebounds. Thierry Patchou contributed 14 points and six rebounds, and Kylan Johnson ran the offense smoothly with six assists to accompany his 13 points.
The Cougars shot an impressive 53.6% from the field, dominated the rebounding battle with 45 boards, and turned defense into offense by limiting Potomac State to a frigid 9.4% shooting beyond the arc.
Now at 4–4 overall and 2–3 in Region 20 Division II, the Cougars carry momentum into their next game against Allegany College of Maryland at home on Saturday, December 6 at 2 PM.
