Cougars Outshot in Road Defeat at CCBC Essex

Frederick Community College Cougars men's soccer team struggled to slow the CCBC Essex attack Thursday night, falling 5-0 at Essex Stadium. The Knights jumped ahead early with goals in the 8th and 23rd minutes, then added three more after the break to pull away.

Despite the score line, goalkeeper Casey Cutshall turned in a busy performance for the Cougars, facing 14 shots on goal and making nine saves over 90 minutes. Samuel Mendez led FCC's attack with two shots on target, while Praise Ngoma and Omar Aguilar also tested the Essex keeper as Frederick generated six shots and three corners.

With the loss, the Cougars drop to 0-4-1 overall and 0-3 in Region 20 DII play. Frederick will look to rebound on the road Tuesday, September 16, with a 5:00 PM kickoff at Garrett College.
