Volleyball Sweeps Cecil, Sets New School Record With 15th Straight Win

North East, Md- The Frederick Community College Cougars won their 15th straight match on Wednesday night by defeating Cecil College 3-0.

FCC sophomore standout Emily Rabat continues to shine for the Cougars.  Rabat smacked 16 kills on the night and recorded six aces.  She also chipped in with 11 digs.  Rabat had plenty of help from her teammates in the victory.  Freshman Kendall Cohagan was in a giving mood and handed out 21 assists.  Amy Gust and Colleen Weant continue to dominate at the net hammering home six kills each.  Victoria Ketner continues to turn in solid play for the Cougars tallying 12 digs.

FCC has an overall record of 15-1 and remains perfect in MD JUCO at 7-0.  FCC has won 37 out of the last 38 sets.

Cecil College falls to 3-13 including 1-5 in the conference.

Up Next:  Little rest for the volleyball team as they return to action on Thursday (10/1) night.  The Cougars will hit the road to battle the Nighthawks from Northern Virginia Community College in a key Region 20 match-up.  The Nighthawks sit with a record of 7-7 on the season.  First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
