Austin, Wright Lead Cougars To Road Victory over PHC

The FCC women's basketball team won its first contest on the road with a convincing 92-39 victory over Patrick Henry College. The Cougars were led by an impressive double-double from Aubrey Austin with game-highs in points and rebounds. Austin tallied 31 points from the field on 15-of-27 shooting and pulled down 13 rebounds in the win. She also chipped in with four assists and three swipes. Teammate Makayla Wright dropped an equally impressive performance with 30 points (13-of-23), five steals, and three assists. 
 
FCC took control of the game early and led 47-19 points after 20 minutes of action. FCC's Tiana Jackson had a solid stat line with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Lauren Ryan cleaned up the glass with 11 rebounds and grabbed four steals in the win. Jessica Jensen went 2-of-4 from beyond the arc late in the game to finish with nine points.
 
The Cougars (2-6, 0-5 MD JUCO) are back in action on Monday (2/7) night at CCBC Catonsville. Tipoff is slated for 5:00 pm.
