ROCKVILLE, Md. – The Frederick Community College volleyball team saw their season come to an end on Saturday morning when they fell to #1 seed Hagerstown CC in the Region 20 D2 postseason tournament held at Montgomery College. The Hawks swept the Cougars in straight sets (25-15, 26-24, 25-190. FCC finishes the season with an overall record of 6-8.
Taylor Fleagle turned quite a performance for FCC. She registered a match-high 14 kills and recorded 12 digs to earn the double-double. Teammates Caitlyn Gilbert, Lauren Ryan, Madison Fernandez, and Alexis Melendez registered double-digit digs. The Cougars committed eight services errors in the loss.
Hagerstown was led by standout Katie Morgan. She tallied eight kills along with 16 digs in the win. Anniya Grantham chipped in with 9 kills to lead the Hawks.
