The Frederick Community College Cougars women’s volleyball team continued its early-season grind on Saturday morning, opening its home tri-match against the Allegany College of Maryland Trojans. Still searching for their first win of the season, the Cougars showed flashes of improvement but ultimately fell 3-0 (20-25, 21-25, 22-25) in a hard-fought contest. Each set saw Frederick close the gap a little more as they battled to find their rhythm, highlighted by a strong finish in the third frame.

Frederick pushed the Hawks throughout, especially in the third set, where they rallied late but came up just short.
The Frederick Community College Cougars women’s volleyball team opened its 2025 season with a thrilling five-set battle against the Union College Owls on Friday night at home, ultimately falling 3-2. The Cougars came out strong, taking the opening set 25-16 behind sharp hitting from Brynn Cochran and Eva Turner, but Union answered back to even the match with a 25-16 win of their own. The two sides traded momentum throughout the night, with Frederick narrowly dropping the third set 25-23 before storming back in the fourth with a dominant 25-12 performance to force a decisive fifth. In the final frame, the Owls held on for a 15-8 win to seal the match.
Thirty-six Frederick Community College Cougars scholar-athletes earned Maryland JUCO All-Academic Awards for the 2024-25 Season. The announcement was made on Thursday, July 31.
The NJCAA has announced the 2024-25 All-Academic Teams, recognizing student-athletes nationwide for their academic excellence and dedication in the classroom. A total of 13,915 student-athletes have been honored for achieving a GPA above 3.60. Twenty-seven Frederick Community College scholar-athletes received NJCAA All-Academic honors for posting an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2024-25 academic year. This is more than double the number of All-Academic honors received the previous year.
On April 21, 2025, Rodney Bennett, Director of Athletics, announced that Anna Witt has been hired as the Head Coach of the Frederick Community College Cougars Women's Volleyball team for the 2025 season.

The Cougars traveled to Region 19 on Saturday for a tri-match at Harrisburg Area CC. While Frederick found themselves victorious 3-2 against the Lackawanna College Falcons in the opener, they suffered a 3-1 defeat in their second match of the day against the Harrisburg Area Hawks.
The FCC Cougars volleyball team will help Turn FCC Pink on Thursday, October 10, as the team will host a Dig Pink event supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. The game will be played against Anne Arundel CC and will start at 7 p.m. in the Athletics Center.

The Cougars gear up for the next game at Allegany College of Maryland on Thursday, September 28, at 6 PM. This win helps the Cougars improve to 2-9 on the season.
On Wednesday evening, the Frederick Cougars volleyball team showed resilience, bouncing back after a tough loss to Potomac State. The Cougars came out strong, winning the first two sets and ending the match after four sets, defeating the Chesapeake College Skipjacks 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 24-26, 25-20) in an exciting match. This victory marked Coach Scurry's first collegiate win as Head Coach and gave her team their first win of the season.
